The November 2025 Edition of “The Chirp”, the official Sparrow’s Nest Newsletter features information about our famous apple pies.

IT’S TIME!

It’s the most sought-after volunteer spot of the year — and the link is now LIVE!

With more than 300 spots open (yep, more than ever before), we’re hoping it takes more than six hours to fill this time. Spoiler alert: it probably won’t.

Here’s what you need to know before signing up:

– You must be 18 or older.

– You can only sign up one person at a time — that’s how we make sure everyone gets a chance.

– Bring your best smile and your corniest joke — we’ll be on our feet for about 110 hours and humor keeps us going.

– You might be peeling, crumbing, boxing pies, or unwrapping butter. (Yes, it’s a thing.)

-If you make us laugh, you’ve got a better chance of being invited back next year.

Pie, Pie, Me oh My

Can’t come and peel apples? NO PROBLEM! You can still buy a pie, or three!

Here’s the details:

– Apple Crumb Pies- our classic favorite is selling fast so don’t wait to order!

 –Limited Edition Blueberry Lemon Pies—sweet, juicy, and oh-so-delicious. LESS THAN 100 LEFT!!

-Give a Pie: Share the joy! Buy a pie for one of our recipient families and brighten their holiday with a delicious treat.

-Give a Thanksgiving Meal: Help our recipients gather around the table with love, hope and a full plate. 

Every pie sold helps fuel our mission. So whether you’re enjoying a slice yourself or donating one to a recipient, thank you.
